The Crus

A noble collection of pure Sangiovese. These are five purebred Sangiovese, each expressing a single vineyard and the results of the professional and emotional commitment of each winery. They are different from one another, and yet tell us a common story: they are an example of  best practices rising from that corner of Tuscany, around Montepulciano and, above all, they want to be inspiration, direction, motivation and certainly not a point of arrival.

Avignonesi created Nobile Poggetto di Sopra from the heart of their historic estate on the Argiano hill from 40  year old vines; Boscarelli carved 1.5 hectares of Sangiovese for Costa Grande on the crest of the hill where “the grapes ripen first”. La Braccesca, an estate of the Antinori family, has bottled the fruit of a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from Podere Maggiarino, one of the most suitable areas of the company, from which the new Nobile takes its name; Poliziano recreated Le Caggiole after a 20-year pause, dedicated to finding and selecting the best Sangiovese from the vineyard of the same name; finally Salcheto has isolated 2 hectares inside the Salco vineyard and in this small area it has given shape to the Salco Vecchie Viti, a cru from older vines.
